Dam repair & rehabilitation for private owners
For lake associations, HOAs, clubs and private dam owners in New Jersey.
What you should know
Many lake dams in New Jersey are owned by lake associations, HOAs, clubs and private owners, not the government. If you own a dam, you are responsible for keeping it safe.
New Jersey’s Safe Dam Act and NJDEP’s Dam Safety Standards require dam owners to operate and maintain their dams, have them inspected by a licensed professional engineer, and get NJDEP approval before repairing or altering a dam. When an inspection report calls for repairs, the owner’s engineer designs them and Sparwick can build them.
